Sargam is an organization dedicated to the
promotion of art, music and dance. We at Sargam are proud of the contribution by
the Asian/South Asian American community to the various rich cultures that
contribute to the all encompassing-American society.
Sargam was
founded in 1993 by Shashi Gupta, President, a
resident of New Jersey for the last 25 years who has been intricately involved
in the promotion of several community and cultural events in USA. She has won
numerous awards herself in the field of music and entertainment. Her magnificent
and unequaled record of distinguished citizenship, community leadership,
professional achievements and humanity has made her a worthy recipient of not
only the Asian American Heritage awards but also as a well known and respected
personality in the arena of entertainment and culture development. She is VP &
Chair woman for the entertainment committee for AAHC for the last 10 years.
